This mono-stringer staircase was designed as a unifying architectural element, seamlessly connecting two formerly separate upper and lower condominiums within a Boston high-rise. Walnut treads are supported by an exposed steel stringer system, creating a clean, cantilevered profile. Low-iron glass railings sit in recessed floor and tread channels, maintaining openness and preserving sightlines between the newly combined levels.
